Bonus Lesson: Why Change Feels Hard on Your Brain

Hello dear ones,

In this bonus lesson, we’re taking a moment to look at what may be happening in your brain and body when life feels unfamiliar or uncertain.

This was added after many people shared that things felt harder than expected when living cross-culturally.

When your environment changes, your brain begins paying closer attention.

Things may take more effort.
Connection can feel different.
Energy and motivation can shift.

This is part of how your brain responds when it is learning something new.

The goal here is not to change anything.

It is simply to begin understanding your experience.

I invite you to geek out with me on neurotransmitters and brain biology if it fits. However, you may also skip this lesson if the why behind things doesn’t interest you. Either is ok

This course offers psychoeducational and reflective tools to support learning and self-awareness. It is not therapy, counselling, crisis support, or a substitute for mental health care.
